A space for young changemakers, led by young changemakers.

Changeist is a Saturday program for middle school and high school aged young people that runs from September to June. At Changeist, you will learn about the social justice issues impacting our communities and collaborate with other youth who want to create a more just society.

Who is eligible to apply for Changeist?

All young people ages 11-18 are eligible for our Changeist program. Our advanced program tracks (Storyist, Peer Team Leader, and Youth Organizer) are eligible for all alumni who have completed one or more years with Changeist.

If you are over age 18 (young adult, post-high school or college-aged), you are eligible for advanced program tracks (Storyist, Peer Team Leader, and Youth Organizer) ONLY IF YOU ARE A CHANGEIST ALUMNI. At this time, we are not accepting applicants over age 18 who have not participated in our Middle School or High School programming prior.

Will the Changeist program be in person or online this year?

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all Changeist programming will be fully online this year. If you need support accessing online activities, please let us know.

How does the application process work?

First, you will submit an application at the link below using a platform called Submittable. By creating an account, you can come back to your application to continue working on it at any time. If you are under age 18 and are not an emancipated minor, a consent form will be sent to your parent or guardian. Then, we will follow up with you to schedule a virtual interview to get to know you better.

We accept applicants on a rolling basis. This means the sooner you apply, the better your chances will be of getting a spot in the program!
